Rock Slab

This slab of rock by the gill has been cleaved, by natural erosion, in such a precise manner as to appear man made. The freshly exposed face has begun to weather, and it will be an interesting place to return to in the coming years to see how fast the rock oxidises and how quickly the lichens and mosses colonise.
