Blea Tarn

Early morning on the summit of Harrison Stickle: diary reads,

‘No wind and warm on the summit at 5:40am. Sky clear but very atmospheric towards Blea Tarn. Made an exposure towards the tarn, good interlocking shapes – lost and found edges (600mm 4sec.f45)  Saw a peregrine falcon in  full stoop coming down. Breakfast at Stickle Tarn – flat calm and already very warm. First Wheatears around and Skylarks singing. Spendid morning.  5hrs’
